"I paint to hold onto joy, express the pain, and share the beautiful, unstructured way I view this world."

I am an artist based in Pueblo, Colorado, working in acrylic, watercolor, digital art, and mixed media. My work moves between landscape, figurative, and expressive abstraction, unified by atmosphere, movement, and emotional intensity. I served in the U.S. Army as a multimedia illustrator, where I was trained in both manual and digital visual communication. That experience shaped the foundation of how I create. Precision. Structure. Clarity. Even now, underneath the expressive surface of my paintings, there is discipline.

Landscape Work

Nature brings us back to ourselves. My landscape paintings are shaped by travel, sailing, mountains, water, and the places that shift something internally when you stand within them. I am not interested in documenting geography but in capturing atmosphere. I paint the feeling of a horizon, the weight of sky, the movement in water, the kind of silence that resets you. Each piece is created so that sense of steadiness can live in your everyday space, not just in the place where it was first experienced.

"I paint because structure gave me clarity. Because nature restored steadiness. Because some moments deserve to last longer than they naturally would." - Michelle

Expressive Art

Life moves quickly and meaningful moments slip into the past. My figurative and expressive work captures human experience before it disappears, layering movement and emotion into compositions that feel immediate and honest. These pieces are not decoration. They are presence. Across mediums, I balance disciplined structure with expressive intensity, creating work that holds what language often fails to contain.

Professional Foundation

Before fully dedicating myself to fine art, I built a career in the creative industries working in graphic design, web design, marketing, and operating my own creative business. I hold a degree in marketing, an MBA from The Power MBA, and executive certificates from Harvard Business Impact.

That background influences how I approach art as both craft and commitment. I understand visual communication. I understand composition at scale. I understand what it means to create work that holds presence in a room.

Why I Paint

After leaving the military, I returned home carrying experiences that were difficult to articulate. Nature restored steadiness. Painting became the discipline through which I shaped that clarity into work that invites others to live with that same grounded presence.
